I went to see Hilma af Klint exhibit at the Guggenheim this weekend and was blown away and very inspired. So I cut up a bunch of her paintings and married them to this photo of an old Russian Cold War control room. The idea was to marry the very scientific with the artistic. Af Klint’s work is heavily intuitive which is a good contrast to the buttoned-up scientific ethos, but she did her own explorations of the leading scientific ideas of the day, which I think is appropriate regarding ITP.
Here is my initial sketch from class the day we got the assignment.
