Disney Imagineering Semi-Finalists

My teammates, Tianyi Xie and Kexin Lin, and I were awarded semi-finalists for the 2019 Disney Imagineering competition. The design prompt was as follows:

To create an experience that explores a Natural or Ancient Wonder of the World, as it exists now or has existed. The projects may not include: Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality or Mixed Reality based solutions and they must be free of Disney intellectual property.

Our idea was to build a unique underwater experience at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, giving visitors access to this vast natural wonder while maintaining a as small a footprint as possible. Guests would be able to explore both the reef and the sea life surrounding the area, with different experiences depending on which season they guests chose to visit. My focus was concept development and narrative.
